ECCHS Withdrawal Process
Elbert County Comprehensive High School has an easy-to-use process that will allow you to complete the necessary form to withdraw your child from school. Please follow the steps below in order to successfully process your child’s withdrawal request. We wish your child the best during this transition to a new learning environment.
Withdrawal Request Checklist
- Return all textbooks, library books, Chromebooks, and Chromebook chargers.
- Ensure all high school fees (debt) are paid in full.
- Copy of enrolling parent/guardian ID. Please note that only the enrolling, or custodial, parent/guardian can submit a withdrawal request for their child.
- Complete the withdrawal form by printing the linked form or completing the form at the high school.

Withdrawal Process
- Complete and return the withdrawal form to the school.
- Meet with the student’s counselor to discuss current transcript status (credits & course needs) and educational options (i.e. Foothills, GA Cyber, Mountain Ed., Dual Achieve, etc.), if not transferring to another school (Almond or Woods).
- Returns the Chromebook and Chromebook charger to the Media Center (C. Murray).
- Meets with the bookkeeper to clear an outstanding debt (L. Farmer).
- Meets with the registrar to complete the withdrawal process by release of records, sign the Intent to Home School form, and withdrawal document signed off by all parties (J. Burton).
